Lost Server Connection for ConcealSearch

In the event your browser sessions became unable to register with the session VMs, this may be caused by the following:

- Because the DNS entries for the session VMs in Google Cloud DNS service were unreachable or at least stale (The session VMs nameserver entries for Google Cloud DNS are defined in the domains.google registrar)

- Because the domain was marked inactive by domains.google, and stopped serving records

- Because the email address associated with the domain was deemed inactive (“Domain isn’t serving because the registrant email address can’t be verified. It might be inactive.”)

- Because the mailbox was not monitored to maintain “activity”

If the above is true, you will want to follow this sequence of events to rectify the problem:

  1. Address the inactive email address
  2. Reactivate the domain
  3. Delete the session VMs and the session VM DNS entries
  4. Restart the Cloud Manager Server (recreates VMs and DNS entries)
  5. Restart the Master Controller (connects sessions to DNS entries/VMs)
