Deploy ConcealBrowse on Windows 10+ using Kaseya VSA X

Description

Deploy the ConcealBrowse extension to multiple browsers on Windows 10+ endpoints seamlessly with Kaseya VSA X.

Applies to

  • Kaseya VSA X
  • Any edition of Windows 10 and 11 version 1709 and later

    • Windows Home, and S mode are not supported
  • Google Chrome 101+

  • Microsoft Edge 77+
  • Brave browser
  • Mozilla Firefox

Collect your CompanyID and SiteID

  1. Log in to https://dashboard.conceal.io
  2. (Optional for multi-tenants) Choose the specific tenant
  3. At the top right, click DOWNLOAD EXTENSION
  4. Scroll down to Company ID and Site ID
  5. Note these values for the next steps

Kaseya VSA X Steps

Create Custom Fields for ConcealBrowse

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Automation > Custom Fields
  2. Click Create Custom Field
    1. Name: ConcealCompanyID
    2. Type: Text
    3. Context: Organization, maybe Site as well depending on your configuration
    4. Click Create
  3. Click Create Custom Field
    1. Name: ConcealSiteID
    2. Type: Text
    3. Context: Organization, maybe Site as well depending on your configuration
    4. Click Create
  4. Verify you have two Custom Fields, named ConcealCompanyID and ConcealSiteID

Configure the Custom Fields for one of your Organizations

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Configuration > Organizations
  2. Click on the organization you wish to deploy to
  3. Click the Custom Fields Tab
  4. Click Edit
  5. Click Assign Custom Field
    1. Select ConcealCompanyID
    2. Paste in the CompanyID value from the Conceal Dashboard
    3. Click Add
  6. Click Assign Custom Field
    1. Select ConcealSiteID
    2. Paste in the SiteID value from the Conceal Dashboard
    3. Click Add
  7. Click Save

Create a Script to install ConcealBrowse using the Custom Fields

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Automation > Scripts
  2. Click New folder > Name it Conceal > Save
  3. Click the Conceal folder
  4. Click New Script
  5. Name: Install ConcealBrowse with Custom Fields
  6. Description: Optional, the URL of this article is a good idea
  7. Inputs > +New
    1. Name: CompanyID
      1. This name must be exact
    2. Enable Use custom field value
    3. Choose ConcealCompanyID
    4. Click Save Variable
  8. Inputs > +New
    1. Name: SiteID
      1. This name must be exact
    2. Enable Use custom field value
    3. Choose ConcealSiteID
    4. Click Save Variable
  9. Windows > Enable
  10. If correct so far, the PowerShell template will look like this:
  11. Download the Install-ConcealBrowse-MSI-kaseya-vsax.ps1 script attached to this article
  12. Open the script in a text editor
  13. Copy the contents of the script into the Kaseya script editor
  14. Click Save

Define scope for ConcealBrowse deployment

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Systems > Scopes
  2. Click Create Scope
  3. Name: ConcealBrowse Scope
  4. System Type: Windows Workstation
  5. Custom Fields
    1. Enable Match All
    2. Click Edit Custom Fields Rules
    3. ConcealCompanyID > is not empty
    4. Click + Add Rule
    5. ConcealSiteID > is not empty
    6. Click Confirm
  6. Context
    1. Click Edit Context
    2. Choose the organizations and/or sites to deploy to, click Confirm
  7. Click Create

Create Task to execute script on the ConcealBrowse scope

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Automation > Tasks
  2. Click Create Task
    1. Name: Install ConcealBrowse with Custom Fields
    2. Current Scope: ConcealBrowse Scope
    3. Click the Scripts Tab at the top
    4. For Categories, choose Conceal
    5. Click [+] next to Install ConcealBrowse with Custom Fields
    6. Click Save Task

Run the Task

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Automation > Tasks
  2. Find Install ConcealBrowse with Custom Fields
  3. Hover over the task
  4. Click ▶️ (Run)
  5. Wait for the task to complete

View Execution History

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Automation > Tasks
  2. Click Install ConcealBrowse with Custom Fields
  3. Click the Execution History Tab
  4. Click the execution date
  5. Click the Systems Tab
  6. Set the filter to Show all systems
  7. Click on a specific system
  8. Click on the Install ConcealBrowse with Custom Fields script name
  9. Review the script output
  10. If successful, the last line will read: ConcealBrowse successfully installed!

Verify Installation

  1. In Kaseya VSA X, click Systems > All Systems
  2. Find one of the systems in scope and click on it
  3. Scroll down to, and click Applications
  4. Verify ConcealBrowse is installed
