Deploy the ConcealBrowse extension to Chrome, Edge, and Brave on Windows 10+ using Automox and the PowerShell Script

Description

Deploy the ConcealBrowse extension to Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave browser on Windows 10+ endpoints seamlessly with Automox RMM and PowerShell.

This process results in automatic device registration to the conceal.io platform.

Applies to

  • Automox RMM
  • Microsoft PowerShell
  • Google Chrome version 101 and newer
  • Microsoft Edge version 77 and newer
    • Windows must be joined to Active Directory or Azure Active Directory
  • Brave browser
  • Microsoft Windows 10+

Procedure

This article is written based on available support articles but not tested by Conceal yet.

  1. You may download the Install-ConcealBrowse.ps1 PowerShell script from this article, you must be logged in to access it, creating an account is free: Current ConcealBrowse PowerShell Script
  2. From the main Automox console, click Manage → Policies
  3. Click Create Policy

  4. Click Worklet → Next

  5. Policy Name enter Windows ConcealBrowse Extension
  6. For Notes we recommend a link to this article
  7. Operating System: Windows
  8. Device Targeting, we recommend a handful of test devices.

  9. Evaluation Code: Exit 1

  10. In the Remediation Code area enter:
    .\Install-ConcealBrowse.ps1 -SiteID "SiteID from dashboard.conceal.io" -CompanyId "CompanyID from dashboard.conceal.io"
  11. Upload the Install-ConcealBrowse.ps1 file you downloaded earlier

  12. In the Schedule area, set the patching schedule that will run on the device. The Schedule Preview provides a calendar view of the patching schedule. See Setting a Patching Schedule.

  13. After you set the schedule, you can configure Reboot Notifications. A reboot is not required.

  14. We recommend deploying to a test group prior to a wider audience.

  15. (Optional) Associate this policy with a group by selecting the plus in the upper right of the page and selecting the desired group(s). When the policy is saved, the group is then assigned to the policy.

  16. Click Create Policy
