Managing Users in the ConcealBrowse dashboard

Description

This outline will provide instruction as well as best practices to ensure your management of users is as easy as possible.

 

Procedure

Method 1: Add One

  1. Navigate within a web browser to https://dashboard.conceal.io and login if necessary. Click on the Users tab on the left, or you can also get to the Users section by going the URL https://dashboard.conceal.io/users
  2. Click the button on the top right labeled Add User and for this method, make sure the option Add One is selected
  3. There are 4 required fields:

    - First Name: user's first name

    - Last Name: user's last name

    - Email: user's email address where the invitation to ConcealBrowse will be sent.

    - User Role(Might have to scroll into view):

         User - The user role has no visibility to the menu on the Conceal Dashboard, but is able to log into the Conceal Dashboard, download the extension, and log into the extension.

         Admin - The user will have full Administration access - with full view and access to any section on the Conceal Dashboard. 

  4. Once you are done filling out the fields, to save your changes click the button labeled Add User. This will automatically send the user an invitation to ConcealBrowse with a temporary password for first time login.

Method 2: Bulk Upload

  1. Still on the Users section in the dashboard, click the button on the top right labeled Add User and for this method, make sure the option Bulk Upload is selected.

  2. You have the option to drag and drop a file into the .csv file space, or if you click inside of the space you can choose a file to upload from your file system. This must be a .csv file in the correct format in order to be successful.

    There is a sample file that you can download in order to ensure your format is correct. Just click the button labeled Download Sample File, and this will download a .csv file to your system with the correct format as reference.

  3. This will automatically send the added users an invitation to ConcealBrowse with a temporary password for first time login.

Viewing and managing the users

  1. Navigate within a web browser to https://dashboard.conceal.io and login if necessary. Click on the Users tab on the left, or you can also get to the Users section by going the URL https://dashboard.conceal.io/users
  2. As your Users list can grow quickly, its important to make use of the toolbar on the Users page. This includes options for:
    - Pagination - The dropdown lets you choose what page number of users you'd like view.
    - Jump to the first or last page using the gray arrows - The left arrow will take you to the first page, and the right arrow to the last.
    - Search - you can type in the search bar and search by a user's email address.
  3. For each user you will see their email address, role, and if they are using SSO (Single Sign On) or MFA, and if the extension is enabled or disabled for the user.

Different User actions

  1. To disable a User, you can toggle the Extension Enabled toggle to the left. For more details please refer to Disabling ConcealBrowse vs. Uninstalling
  2. Still on the Users section in the dashboard, find the user you would like to take action on from the list. On the User's row, click the 3 dots on the right to open the menu. This will give you the option to go right to the User's information in 4 different reports, edit the user, and delete the user.

  3. This will bring up the user's information for you to edit. You can change the first name, last name, and the role. If you need to update an email address, add a new user and once they are in the dashboard with the new email, delete the old user's email address. 

  4. There is also an option to reset the user's password. Clicking the button labeled Reset Password will send the user a link to their email address reset their password. Please refer to the Password Article for more information on resetting passwords.

  5. Once you are done making changes, click the button labeled Edit User to save your changes.
